No matter how much paper they waste, it always brings a smile to my face when my girlies write us a special note. I think we’ve gotten like over 30 of these now….:)

Weddings in the winter can be pretty tricky. You have to work with available light (you lose light ridiculously fast in winter here in Utah), freeze out in the cold and pretend to be enjoying yourself, you have to work with SNOW. With that said, nothing could ruin Callista & Ben’s special day. They were so radiant and full of love as they bursted out of the Timpanogos temple doors. The cutest thing I saw was how careful Ben was to take care of Callista’s every needs. He was such a gentleman!
We ended up having to work rather quickly because we lost light fast but I think we got some keepers for sure. I was totally dumb founded when I saw the amount of people getting married at the Timpanogos temple on the 19th. It was RIDONCULOUS!!! I expected that for the Salt Lake temple but man oh man, it was busy busy with brides and grooms rushing in and out of that place. We pushed it so we could get out of there right in time for when the lights came on around the temple grounds. It had gotten dark so fast–and there were 3 other photographers still out there in the dark with their brides and grooms. YIKES! I was so glad it wasn’t me out there in the dark! Anyway, here are some images from the beautiful bitter cold day!
Congratulations Ben & Callista! You guys truly make such a beautiful couple! :) Love you guys!
My fav. pic of Ben in the B&W. He looks so dapper doesn’t he?
Check out them white BOOTS! Loved it.
The details…I loved the red against the white. It was soooo stunning!
These guys were RIDONCULOUS! They insisted on taking pictures with the bridemaid’s hand muffs. Too funny.
A couple of months back I was asked to photograph some members of the Jordan River Stake Choir for a Christmas DVD they were putting together. The director, Sharon Hopkins and her husband Trevor put together this beautiful DVD featuring the voices of the men and women in our stake and images by yours truly…I think the DVD turned out beautifully–great job guys!:)
Hope you all are enjoying your holidays! We’ve been busy with family from out of town–and it’s been lots of fun. Kids are sick AGAIN, but we’re making the most out of it! We’ve been going non-stop playing board games (sidenote: I am the only one in my family that likes games so it’s usually me and the sister-in-laws that push my brothers and my husband into playing…it’s worked so far!), going out to eat, enjoying baya’s homecooked meals, tubing, going to theater shows…busy busy. In the midst of all of this, I’ve also shot a wedding and have been needing to edit some sessions that I’ve been behind in so don’t fret. I’ll be back with a vengeance after the holidays!
And because a post isn’t as cool without a photo–here’s one of my “cool” younger brothers…ha..ha..
