Heather + Davis + Adelyn | Upstate South Carolina Family Photographer

wow. it’s been awhile.  this shoot was from awhile ago, but i love this cute family.  they invited me out to Gaffney to take pics on their family property and it was BEAUTIFUL to say the least.  They brought there golf cart out so we could get around because the property was massive.  we almost were attacked by cows…ahahahaha…but we made it out in one piece.  they are such a sweet little family.  i hope there will be many more shoots with them because i just fell in looove with little Adelyn’s southern accent.  it was the cutest thing!!!  now if i could get my girls to talk like that.:)  Thank you guys for a FUN day!

Feature Friday: Good Bird Design

Well, it’s been awhile since I posted my last Feature Friday!  Yikes!!!  There’s been a combination of holiday frenzy around here with family visiting, but now things have died down just a bit so I can finally post a FEATURE FRIDAY!  I know you were all sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for my once a week installments…hahahaha.  But for those of you still with me, today is a super Feature Friday worthy post, and I am so happy to be featuring Goodbird Designs, started by my good friend Amy Moon.

Goodbird Designs began as a neighborhood Bake Sale/Craft Market and has now evolved into a craft collective online.  They are dedicated to supporting the great work being achieved by Africa Heartwood Project.  This amazing and effective charity  supports a Refugee Orphan Home in Ghana, clean water projects in remote villages, and the livelihoods of artisans in the region.  It maintains zero overhead and functions completely through volunteer efforts.  EVERY SINGLE donated penny is honored, appreciated, and put to its best possible use.  You can read more about Good Bird here and the Africa Heartwood Project here.

I have known Amy for quite some time now (we go way back…back to my good ‘ol BYU days).  I have always admired her for her willingness to serve and her kind heart.  She is super talented, and quite simply SUPER WOMAN in my eyes.  She never ceases to amaze me with all of her projects she is working on, and 99.9% of the time it’s for other people.  So when she told me about Good bird, I had to share it with you all.  I completely believe “where much is given…much is required.”  There is always something we can do to help others in need.  I love that this project has given our family a way to contribute in our own little way to the care and education of some sweet young children in Ghana.  I’m not doing all the work like Amy is…but by purchasing from their design store, I was able to help in a little way.

So, here is where YOU ALL can HELP!  Go check out all of the amazing crafts they have at Good bird Designs and BUY BUY BUY!!!!  EVERY SINGLE PENNY—that’s 100% of the proceeds will benefit Africa Heartwood Project’s Refugee Orphan HOme in Ghana.  There is no better feeling than knowing that you had some part in helping someone else.

To make it even BETTER..Amy is offering the following to all of my READERS:

Isn’t that SWEEEEEEET?!?  I purchased a couple wordy bird necklaces and flowers for Christmas teacher gifts.:)  These are such great Christmas gifts for friends and family!  If you don’t want to purchase anything, but want to donate money, you can do that as well on their site.:)

Just make sure to say that you were referred to their site from me in the comments section during checkout so we can keep track of all those who have contributed!

I will announce the winner for this giveaway on MONDAY DECEMBER 19th!  So get shopping!

Also, help spread the word and post this on your Facebook, twitter, or Pinterest.  I know that would help out sooo much!

Tupolas–Hawaii | Greenville SC Family Photographer

I took this cute family’s pics over this summer while I was in Hawaii.  I just fell in love with the B&W edits–and since I mostly show color, I figured I’d post all in B&W today.  Aren’t these girls just the most adorable girlies you ever saw!?!  I love their big brown eyes–and their spunky personalities.  They were so fun.  Thanks Tupolas!  Your sneak peaks are FINALLY on the BLOG!

For those of you who may or may not be interested…I will be back with FEATURE FRIDAYS two weeks from now.  It’s been a little crazy around here–with family visiting, and just plain laziness.  Thanks for hanging in there with me…all two of you!  hahaha…
